Our Purpose
WHEREAS, BY THE PROVIDENCE OF GOD, the army of Henry V, King of England, Ireland, and France attained a glorious victory at the Battle of Agincourt on St. Crispin' s Day, in the year of our Lord fourteen hundred and fifteen, we, the Military Order of Agincourt, the descendants of that "Band of Brothers," the few, the happy few, who fought and shed their blood for "Harry, England, and Saint George," have joined together to perpetuate their memory and remarkable victory against the formidable forces of Charles VI that our posterity from age to age might commemorate one of England's most celebrated triumphs in the annals of its long and illustrious history.
Furthermore, we shall aim to collect and secure for preservation the rolls, records, books, and other documents relating to that period; to encourage the research and publication of historical data, including memorials to those who thereat served; to locate, identify, care for, and, when needed, mark the burial sites of veterans of that struggle; to cherish, maintain, and extend the institutions of freedom; and to foster patriotism, honour, and love of country. Companions of our Order will "yearly on the vigil feast their neighbours and say 'Tomorrow is Saint Crispian,' and remember the feats their forefathers did that day.
